Grouping & Passing Rules

Minimum 5 Subjects

You must select a minimum of 5 subjects to successfully pass and obtain the Senior Secondary certificate.

Language Requirements

Select 1 or 2 language subjects from Group A to fulfill the language criteria.

Academic Subjects

Choose the remaining 3 or 4 core academic subjects from Group B.

Additional Subjects

You can optionally take up to 2 additional subjects, making a maximum of 7 subjects overall.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be 14 years of age as of 31st January of the admission year (for block 1) or 31st July (for block 2).
  • A learner who has passed class VIII and has valid proof of attaining 14 years of age can apply.
  • A learner giving a self-certificate "I have studied enough to be able to pursue secondary course" is also eligible.

Documents Required

  • Recent Passport Size Colored Photograph
  • Signature (Preferably in Black Ink)
  • Valid Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card / Passport / Ration Card)
  • Valid Date of Birth Proof (Birth Certificate / Class 8th Marksheet)
  • Valid Proof of Residence (Electricity Bill / Water Bill)
